Nothing serious here, just documenting things I've made and the work that inspires it

I don’t normally make new years resolutions but I am trying to challenge and push myself more to be creative. For 2024 I gave myself a self imposed challenge to create one piece of artwork a month for the whole year. The only rule I gave myself is to produce and get it done without any restrictions about content, quality, style, material, subject matter, or worries about the product being “good”.

Not just in art, but in life, I get stuck on worrying if a project is considered “good”, so I never finish (and sometimes can’t even start). The additional sticking point with art is that I have no idea what is considered good but yet still feel compelled to create and be creative.

With that, we are now closing in on the end of April* and I have finished all four pieces for the year so far! I am now posting them (in this post) to keep myself accountable for the rest of the year.

*[Update: GOAL COMPLETE!!]

@briankeltner29

My goal for 2024 was to create a piece of art every month without concern about quality, subject matter, or materials. Today I completed my goal! #2024artchallenge #art #2024
