Chapel in St. Maria da Feira in Portugal by e|348 Arquitectura | Design Milk

I’ve always had a thing for churchs, as I think a lot of people do which is why they are always on tourist maps. Traditional, modern, or just plain unique; architects of church’s have a lot a room to play (and money to do so) and I find features they come up with interesting. A recent one I came across was in St. Maria da Feira in Portugal (no I haven’t physically been there). I just loved the use of light, absence of color, and especially the treatment of the crucifix. Jesus isnt actually even attached to the cross, as it is a window adding a very fantastical spin to one of the most iconic images in the world.
