I’m afraid I disagree with your appraisal of this building. It is horribly inelegant and pompous. What might work in fashion can hardly be presumed to translate to architecture. Cardin should stick to skirts.
That’s fair. Not being an architect myself, I just am astounded at what can be accomplished through engineering. To see a building like this that pushes the idea of what the standards of architecture are is impressive to me. I would have more of a problem with it if this building was actually IN Venice, because that city is beautiful as-is. Since it’s going to be in the suburbs where I say “go for it”.
